Joel's studies in art over the last ten years have taken him all over, from Minnesota and Los Angeles all the way to Scarborough.
He creates work in two and three dimensions, often involving recycled found imagery in collage and digital media. Rehashing, regenerating and re-displaying to turn old into new in his own modern creation.
Joel's ultimate passion, music plays a big role, and recent commissions have included sleeve art for Hope of the States debut The Lost Riots, and illustrations for Rough Trade Records' sample CDs.
He has also been involved in a Covent Garden window installation for Coco de Mer, and with Top Man producing t-shirt/ and accessory designs.
Most recently he's produced a number of book covers for Random House and Macmillan.
